Klondike Receives Test Results For Kidsoft™ Safety Surface
Vancouver, BC, Canada: Klondike Kidstuff announced today that it has received the results from the independent tests of it's Kidsoft™ Safety Surface, conducted by DTL Testing Laboratories of Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Kidsoft™ Safety Surface has been tested for critical fall height as per ASTM F1292-99 (Standard Specification for Impact Attenuation of Surface Systems Under and Around Playground Equipment). DTL Testing Laboratories confirmed in their report # 080602-1 that "the material indicated (Kidsoft™ Safety Surface) meets the HIC, (Head Impact Criteria), and G-Max requirements at the fall height indicated (5 feet) per ASTM F1292-99."
A company release states, "Kidsoft™ Safety Surface is the most child friendly safety surfacing available in the market today. Walking on a Kidsoft™ Safety Surface is like walking on a field of soft moss. The high density, Memorysoft™ base mat is bonded directly to the concrete floor or existing floor surface. When an existing floor cannot be recessed to allow for an even transition, Klondike can provide beveled transition sections at the entrance and exit areas so wheelchair users can access the area while virtually eliminating tripping. The Memorysoft™ base mat can be covered with several different materials, like commercial carpet or pour-in-place rubber top coat, resulting in a surface that is easy to clean and aesthetically coordinated with the facility. Several options are available, depending on what cover material works best in a particular environment.
Kidsoft™ Safety Surface is professionally installed by Klondike installation technicians, who also assemble the rest of the play area.
