Klondike Kidstuff Inc. “New custom Production Equipment”

Vancouver, BC, Canada: Klondike Kidstuff Inc. announced the implementation of their new custom engineered production equipment. The equipment was locally designed and manufactured specifically for Klondike’s growing operations in soft foam play components and a major retailers play areas.

  • The addition of the Max Capacity, CNC Machining Carriage allows production to electronically program the carriage to cut intricate shapes and forms in wood and foam. Klondike estimates this is the largest programmable cutting table in Canada for this type of work. With the addition and full implementation of the CNC Machining Carriage, Klondike is expecting a significant decrease in the production time required on carved and routed components used in Klondike's popular custom play environments.
  • Klondike's custom 20,000 cubic foot paint and coating booth has recently been upgraded with a custom Fresh Air Heat Exchange System (FAHS) that allows Paint/Coating Technicians to control the working temperature within one degree of the desired temperature while still maintaining a dust free environment. Along with automatic shutoffs on doors and quick connect fresh air outlets in Booth A and Booth B; Klondike anticipates the improvements will have a very positive effect on overall quality while maintaining a higher output of finished components.
  • Coating application has been improved with the addition of engineered Bilateral Coating Distribution Equipment (BCDE) that was custom designed and fabricated to Klondike's specific-application criteria. With the new distribution system, coatings will be applied evenly with less waste and improved coverage on every application. The ability to maneuver around the object with such ease and efficiency has resulted in substantial labor savings. Klondike states that they expect further efficiencies from the BCDE as the operators become more familiar with its potential capabilities.
