Vancouver, BC, Canada: Throughout the holiday shopping season, Guildford Town Center's newly installed children's play area offered a much needed break for thousands of parent shoppers and their little ones in tow. The Klondike play area saw normal daily kid traffic often doubling and tripling, while an adjacent specialty coffee vendor was more than happy to take care of Mom and Dad.

“I'm a working mom so I've got to squeeze all my holiday shopping into just these few days. This play area gives all of us such a nice break”, said parent shopper Liz Sheridan. “These play areas are great. The kids love it, I get to have a cup of coffee and it's easy to watch them while my wife takes care of the shopping,” said Pat Maloy, at the mall with his 4-year-old twin granddaughters Ashley and Briana.

The 1000 square foot soft foam play area provides both inside and outside seating to better accommodate the needs of caregivers. The play area is open during regular mall hours.
