Klondike Completes Flagship Project for Major Restaurant Chain
Pinehurst, NC, USA: Today marks the Grand Opening of the East of Chicago Pizza Company’s first soft foam play area, designed, manufactured and installed exclusively for the Willard, OH based restaurant chain by Klondike Kidstuff Inc.
Installed at East of Chicago’s new Myrtle Beach Fun Factory, the play area features a pizza box climb and slide, crawl through soda cup and an interactive cheese car, among other items. The play pieces are positioned on a squishy Kidsoft safety surface to protect children against injury.
Asked why her Company selected Klondike over the numerous other bidders, Janet Cok, Project Coordinator for the South Carolina store, explained: “We chose Klondike because: they were willing to work within our budget, responded quickly to our requests, submitted nice design drawings, and could meet our tight schedule needs.” Having now seen the play area installed, East of Chicago personnel are pleased with their choice and look forward to working with Klondike again in the future.
A Klondike representative explained that the Klondike team was also pleased with the project outcome and was honored to have been chosen over the competition. “It is always exciting for us to gain and satisfy new clients,” said Klondike Sales & Marketing Director, Elissa Arkinstall.
In addition to creating the play area, Klondike was hired to manufacture an oversized replica of Pizza Pete, East of Chicago’s mascot. ‘Big Pete’, as the character has come to be known, stands nearly 12’ high and 14’ wide with a small cutout for children to pass through.
