Klondike’s Quantum Playscapes Take Soft Foam Play to a Whole New Level

Pinehurst, NC, USA : Have you seen a Quantum Playscape yet?  They’re more than your average soft foam play area.  They’re big, they’re bold, and they’re beautiful!

Quantum Playscapes is the new line of luxury play systems, available only from Klondike Kidstuff.  Never before has the shopping center industry had access to anything quite like this.

Quantum Playscapes are “masterpiece” style children’s areas custom designed and built to bring an area to life.  “We are no longer just talking about a play area”, explains Klondike’s EVP of Sales Bob O’Hara, “we are talking about creating a soft foam Playscape…a safe themed environment that attracts people and that where, once inside, people feel surrounded by fun!” 

Playscape features include many of the items we’ve grown accustomed to seeing in standard soft foam play areas, such as the colorful play pieces, the parent seating and the squishy safety floor.  Yet, what makes Klondike’s Quantum Playscapes so eye-catching is the extras Klondike includes in them: 3D and relief wall themeing and murals, grand entrance facades, oversized elements, ceiling features, lights, sounds and themed perimeter seating both inside and out.  The variety of materials used in Playscapes too can be extra special: high-end touches can include leather seating and Gibraltar wall covering and/or counters.   

Like its ever-popular standard themed play areas, which the company confirms it will continue to produce, Quantum Playscapes are custom designed and manufactured to client specifications, allowing for the incorporation of sponsorship and branding. 

“It was actually our clients who led us to come up with the idea to develop this concept”, explained Mr. O’Hara, when questioned about what prompted the creation of the Playscape line.  Klondike’s experience in the global play industry likely also played a role in this product development: the company’s team includes many skilled professionals who have completed a wide variety of the leading play projects worldwide, from Legoland in Southern California to the Jurong Reptile Park in Singapore. 

Recent Klondike ads appearing in Construction Today, Shopping Centers Today and Tactics have revealed that Klondike is in fact working to revolutionize the soft foam play industry.  How? Via product and process improvements that enable the company to better meet the changing needs of both current and future clients.  In 2005, for instance, Klondike presented to market the patented Modusoftä Play System, an affordable play area kit that provides everything a property needs to install its own play area – no tools or mega dollar investment required.  The concept could almost be called ingenious and has been very well received in the market, long starved for a mobile play area solution.
