The Ministry of Economic Development and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association have awarded Klondike the prestigious BC Export Award, in the category of new exporter, for 2007. Specifically, they recognized Klondike for their business growth, innovative vision and ability to compete effectively in the world marketplace.
The winners were announced at a gala luncheon ceremony attended by Premier Gordon Campbell and Minister for Economic Development, Colin Hansen, held today at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters BC Division, the sold out luncheon was attended by leaders from across the global trade community. The award ceremony followed a meeting between the Top 25 Exporters for 2007, and Honorable Colin Hansen, Minister of Economic Development, to discuss the opportunities and challenges for BC exporters.
There were over 400 nominations and over 200 applications received for the 2007 Awards.
