Supplier
Evaluation Criteria
1.
3rd PARTY Quality Standards Verification & Accreditation - Is
the supplier ISO Certified?
If
not, why not?
To
become ISO certified, a company
must have an accredited third-party
rigorously audit its Management
System and confirm that the program
conforms to internationally recognized
quality standards. Reviews
examine all facets of a business –design,
manufacturing, installation and
service –to ensure a company-wide
devotion to quality. ISO 9001:2000
certification assures clients
that play systems are manufactured
per regulatory, safety and design
requirements.
Klondike
is the World's only ISO 9001:
2000 Certified soft foam play
company.
What
does that tell you?
2. Written
verification from insurer
on safety track record
Ask
for a “Claims Verification”letter
from the company’s insurer
(and from the previous insurers
of any company whose assets the
present company may have acquired)
going back to the date of inception
of the company or companies.
Make sure that the liability
the insurers refer to, in their
letter, is liability for injuries
sustained by third parties from
playing on the company’s
play areas. (Not slip and fall
liability at their premises!)
Klondike
is the World’s only soft
foam play company to have a
completely Claim Free Injury
Record. A copy of a letter
from our insurer is available
in the News section of this
website, confirming that there
have been no claims paid under
our liability policy, for any
injuries, sustained by anyone,
on any of our play areas, ever.
Don’t
you think this is more meaningful
than a generic claim that we are
committed to safety?
3.
To ensure the highest level
of safety for your play area,
request to SEE the company’s
Independent Lab Test Results
for fall height.
Klondike
is the World’s only soft
foam play company to have Independent
Lab Test Results confirming
a 5’Fall height; the
industry standard is 4’.
4. Before
believing that a soft foam
play company has designed,
manufactured and installed “hundreds”of
jobs, ask for a written
undertaking, with a penalty
clause for fraudulent misrepresentation, that
they have in fact built all
the play areas they list on
their site
Over
90% of the hundreds of play areas
now claimed by former middlemen
companies as their “creations”or “installations”were
in fact built by Klondike and other
manufacturers. These former
middlemen only developed limited
play area manufacturing capabilities
in July 2005, through verifiable
acquisition, in response to Klondike’s
going directly to market. They
have therefore actually only built
a small handful of the hundreds
of projects they claim as theirs. To
put it another way, Klondike
has been manufacturing soft foam
play areas 4 times longer than
any company in the market today
and is the only company in the
world to have built ALL the play
areas it has installed.
5.
Compare apples to apples by
comparing WARRANTIES instead
of salesmen’s representations.
Klondike
offers longer warranties than
any other company, by as much
as 10 to 1 on safety surface,
and double on components.
See section titled, 'Why Do Clients
Choose Klondike 4 to 1 Over
the Competition?'
6.
Utilize a formal supplier evaluation
template
In
a recent Request for Proposal (RFP)
put forth by Tampa International
Airport Authority, an independent
6 member Technical Review Committee
used the following supplier evaluation
template:
-
Proposed
cost of the project
-
Play
areas’conceptual design
-
Project
schedule and timeline
-
Project
Manager’s qualifications
and experience
Klondike
was the only company
to be awarded a perfect score
of 1000/1000.
7.
Base your purchasing decision
on OBJECTIVE PROOF, NOT VERBAL
REPRESENTATIONS, as outlined
above. If someone does not provide
you with objective, third party
proof, think twice about dealing
with them
Once
you have objectively compared credentials,
we are confident that you will
see why Klondike has designed,
built and installed more soft foam
play areas than any other company.
KLONDIKE. THE
PLAY EXPERTS. LEADING
VIA TECHNOLOGY.
